This sign up is ONLY for parents of cast members of Finding Nemo. 

This sign up is for PERFORMANCES. Please use this online sign up to sign up as a PARENT CHAPERONE for at least 2 of the 6 performance times your child is in, which still leaves 4 performance times your child is in that you are welcome to purchase a ticket to see the show from the audience.

PARENT CHAPERONES are also needed at Dress Rehearsals so that they will become familiar with the show and their backstage chaperone duties. Please plan to attend at least ONE dress rehearsal of your choice to help us out so that you can learn what to do for the TWO performances you will sign up for. 

Parents can attend any dress rehearsal they wish to watch from the audience and take photos of their child. Please no video as Disney does not like that. 

Cameras will NOT be allowed during any performance but you can take photos on stage and red carpet AFTER the performance with your family and favorite stars. 

Parent Backstage Chaperones are to borrow a gold volunteer badge to wear while working. Choose a dressing room stage left or right. Please try to make it an even number of parents on each side.

Duties include:

1. Help students hang up clothes and keep things off the floor. Utilize cubbies, hangers, plastic bags, and underneath chairs.
2. Keep students quiet and focused on the show so that they do not miss their cues.
3. Help keep dressing room tidy and clean after each dress rehearsal and performance.
4. Absolutely no cameras or cell phone use whatsoever allowed in the dressing rooms from students, parents, volunteers. If you must use cell phone do so in the lobby.

GCT House Managers are appointed by the Executive Director.

*Arrive one hour before showtime and check in with Chad or Mike.

*Be dressed nicely in black and borrow a gold Volunteer badge to wear while working.

*The Ushers/Concessions Volunteers will do the same but they will report to you.

*Everyone should check the restrooms for cleanliness and supplies which are in the supply/paint room. If trash cans are full, take trash out and replace the liner. 

*Check the house for cleanliness, sweep and vacuum floors as needed before the audience arrives. 

*Be sure we have 80 programs in the basket at all times. 

*Be sure we have a guest list printed out for you to put on clipboards with pens for the Ushers. 

*Be sure the Ushers are trained and know what to do.

*Stand in main hall at green room door to welcome guests and show them where the restrooms are and where the snack bar/raffle tickets and ushers are located.

*Ushers will come to you for any seating discrepancies which is likely due to someone coming on the wrong date. Folding chairs can be added for them in the back of the house. 

*Ushers should tell you if anyone turns in any seats. Write it down. 

*Check in with tech crew and then announce to both dressing rooms, house, and then lobby that the House Is Open. Then open the door and prop it open for guests to find ushers inside. 

*Assist the ushers or concessions if they need help.

*Promote Raffle Ticket Sales.

*Check in with the tech crew/Stage Manager on duty 5 minutes before showtime to see if we are able to start on time. 

*During the performance, please wait in the lobby for late seating and any problems that may arise. Chad will provide you a comp ticket to another performance to experience as a guest. 

*At the end of the performance, please check the house for cleanliness and lost and found items. Please thank guests and volunteers. Be sure to remind the volunteers and yourself to return gold badges.

During intermission, please stand at red carpet helping audience find restrooms. After intermission, the usher duties are completed, and the usher can stay for the reminder of the performance, or they can return their gold badge and leave if they would like.
